Work can be a significant source of stress, and it’s normal to experience periods of pressure or uncertainty. Therapy may be helpful if work-related stress feels persistent, overwhelming, or begins to affect your mood, sleep, relationships, health, or ability to enjoy life outside of work. You may also benefit from support if you’re experiencing burnout, difficulty setting boundaries, feeling constantly “on,” or struggling to disconnect from work. Therapy can help you understand the sources of work-related stress and develop healthier ways to manage the demands of your work and personal life. Together, we can explore patterns that may be contributing to stress or burnout, such as perfectionism, difficulty setting boundaries, people-pleasing, or feeling pressure to always be productive. Therapy can help you build practical coping strategies, strengthen communication and boundary-setting skills, and develop a healthier relationship with work. The goal is to help you feel more balanced, resilient, and able to manage workplace challenges without allowing work stress to take over your life.

Therapy for work-related stress can incorporate different evidence-based approaches depending on your unique needs and goals. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) can help you recognize and shift thought patterns and behaviors that may contribute to stress, perfectionism, or burnout. Therapy may also incorporate mindfulness, stress-management, and boundary-setting strategies to help you respond to workplace challenges with greater flexibility, confidence, and resilience.

My fee is $250 for a 45-minute individual therapy session. I am an out-of-network provider, which means I do not bill insurance companies directly. However, depending on your insurance plan, you may have out-of-network mental health benefits that allow you to receive reimbursement for a portion of your session fee. I recommend contacting your insurance provider to ask about your specific out-of-network benefits, deductible, reimbursement rate, and any required documentation.
Working with an out-of-network therapist can also offer greater flexibility and choice in finding a therapist who is the right fit for your needs, rather than being limited to a specific insurance network. It may also provide more flexibility in the therapeutic process and the type of care you receive. If helpful, I can provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement.
