Therapy for Anxiety and Relationship Stress in New York
Life in New York City can be exhilarating, demanding, and constantly moving. The pace of work, long days, crowded spaces, complex relationships, and pressure to keep up can leave little room to pause and check in with yourself. For many New Yorkers, anxiety and relationship stress can become part of the background of everyday life—until they begin to interfere with how you feel, connect, and function.
Therapy provides a space to step outside that pace and focus on what matters to you. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, relationship conflict, difficulty setting boundaries, or the emotional demands of work and city life, therapy can help you better understand your patterns and develop more effective ways of coping and communicating.
Therapy in New York also means understanding the particular pressures of living in and around the city. Career ambition, demanding schedules, dating and relationship challenges, changing social circles, financial pressures, and the constant stimulation of city life can affect both emotional well-being and relationships. At the same time, New York offers opportunities for growth, independence, connection, and reinvention—making it a unique environment in which to create meaningful change.
Our work together is personalized to your experiences and goals. By exploring the thoughts, emotions, and relationship patterns underlying anxiety and stress, therapy can help you feel more grounded, improve communication, establish healthier boundaries, and build relationships that feel more fulfilling.

There are several effective therapy approaches for anxiety, and treatment is tailored to each person’s unique needs and goals. Two commonly used approaches are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). CBT focuses on identifying and changing unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors that can contribute to anxiety. ACT helps you develop a different relationship with anxious thoughts and feelings by practicing acceptance, mindfulness, and taking meaningful action based on your values. Together, these approaches can help you better understand your anxiety, build practical coping skills, and move toward a life that feels more fulfilling and aligned with what matters most to you.

My fee is $250 for a 45-minute individual therapy session. I am an out-of-network provider, which means I do not bill insurance companies directly. However, depending on your insurance plan, you may have out-of-network mental health benefits that allow you to receive reimbursement for a portion of your session fee. I recommend contacting your insurance provider to ask about your specific out-of-network benefits, deductible, reimbursement rate, and any required documentation.
Working with an out-of-network therapist can also offer greater flexibility and choice in finding a therapist who is the right fit for your needs, rather than being limited to a specific insurance network. It may also provide more flexibility in the therapeutic process and the type of care you receive. If helpful, I can provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement.
